About the Role
As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests dining with us. Your warm, professional welcome sets the tone for the entire dining experience. You will anticipate guest needs, ensure their requirements are met, and coordinate with the wider team to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and seat guests in the restaurant, ensuring an outstanding first impression.
Prepare and serve drinks, take orders, and process payments when required.
Look after guests in the drawing room and other areas as needed.
Share knowledge of the hotel's facilities and local area with guests, offering helpful recommendations.
Communicate guest needs and feedback to relevant departments.
Build and maintain relationships with regular guests to enhance loyalty and encourage repeat visits.
Contribute to achieving 100% guest satisfaction and supporting profitability targets.
About You
Friendly, professional, and guest-focused with excellent communication skills.
Proactive in anticipating guest needs and supporting team members.
Well-presented and confident in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in hospitality or guest service is an advantage but not essential -- training will be provided.
Hours
Part-time position: 3 evenings per week.
The Bath Priory (part of the Brownsword family of hotels) has a great location in Bath, just a short walk from the city centre, with a bus stop right outside. The hotel is stunning, a Georgian house with 33 bedrooms built in honey- coloured Bath stone and is surrounded by four acres of multi- award-winning gardens. SERVICE CHARGE-We pay our team service charge each month! This service charge all goes into one pot, and 100% of that service charge is then shared amongst all the team at the hotel-every penny received is paid out to the team.
Service charge can be in the region of 160 a month (close to 2000 per year) over and above base pay, for a full time employee.
