Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and a seamless experience from arrival to departure. This role is vital in creating a positive atmosphere and maintaining high standards of guest service within our establishment. Previous experience in restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous, alongside excellent communication skills and a welcoming demeanour.

Duties

Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and managing reservations efficiently Escorting guests to their tables and providing menus with enthusiasm Managing waiting lists and seating arrangements to optimise flow during busy periods Answering phone calls with professionalism, providing information, and taking reservations as needed Assisting with guest inquiries and ensuring their needs are attended to promptly Coordinating with the service team to ensure smooth operation of the dining experience Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the host/host station Handling guest complaints or concerns courteously, aiming for swift resolution Supporting other front-of-house duties as required to uphold high standards of hospitality

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or hotel environment is preferred but not essential Strong communication skills with an emphasis on courteous phone etiquette and guest interaction Excellent organisational skills to manage reservations and seating efficiently Ability to work well under pressure during busy service times Friendly, approachable manner with a genuine passion for guest services Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service best practices is desirable

The pay rate depends on the applicants age and experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
