Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our establishment. We are newly opened restaurant with modern Sri Lankan/ Ceylonese Infusion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly in restaurant management, and will have a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service.

This is a performance based job, the manager should proof he/she has the capabilities to make this premises profitable.

The candidate must have an idea about how to get more customers, retain them, etc. Daily promotion, food tasting must be delivered on-time.

Duties



Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities. Lead and manage a team of staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and high performance. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as food safety standards. Supervise food production and preparation processes to guarantee quality and consistency. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner to ensure satisfaction. Develop and implement training programs for new employees, focusing on culinary skills, bartending techniques, and customer service excellence. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to maximise profitability. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends (discuss with the executive chef). Billing, waste management, bar compliances.

Experience


The successful candidate should have:

Proven experience in a managerial role within the hotel or restaurant industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen operations. Experience in supervising staff in both front-of-house and kitchen settings. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A passion for culinary arts with an understanding of current trends in food preparation. Candidates with bartending experience or those who have worked in various roles within the hospitality sector will be highly regarded.

Pay: 25,000.00-32,000.00 per year
