Job Description

Due to retirement, we have a Restaurant Manager vacancy in our busy 350 seat restaurant situated within our Lincoln Garden Centre

Your responsibilities will include being responsible for managing staff, handling finances, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive work environment and fostering customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:



Staff Management:



Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising restaurant staff (both front-of-house and back-of-house).

Financial Management:



Managing budgets, controlling costs, and analysing financial reports to improve profitability.

Inventory Management:



Ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring efficient inventory control.

Customer Service:



Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, handling complaints, and building positive customer relations.

Operational Management:



Overseeing daily operations, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring smooth service flow.

Marketing & Sales:



Implementing strategies to attract customers and increase sales.

Compliance:



Ensuring the restaurant adheres to all relevant health, safety, and legal regulations.

Skills and Qualifications required.



Leadership & Management:

Ability to motivate and lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication with staff, customers, and suppliers.

Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:

Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently and make sound decisions.

Organisational & Time Management:

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Financial Acumen:

Understanding of restaurant finances, budgeting, and cost control.

Knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene:

Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices, in particular with regards Allergens.

Computer Skills-

A good understanding of Microsoft 365 is required.

Please note that management experience to at least supervisory level is required when applying.

The role is to start ASAP with a handover period with the current Restaurant Manager up until the end of September.

Full Time - 39.25 Hours average a week

You will be required to work Monday to Friday with one day off during the week and also work alternate weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 43,000.00 per year
