Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
- Join the senior management team in developing all aspects of food, ambience and customer experience.
- Drive focus and attention to detail in the presentation of the restaurant.
- Develop the food and wine o?ering with the kitchen; consider the customer in terms of the wine bar development.
- Lead on events from conception to planning and delivery within long and medium term planning.
- Lead on environmental decor, layout and design; link to the overall business development plan.
- Maintain cashflow and costings/profitability management information.
- Manage all aspects of sta? employment including sta? development programme.
Duties
Manage and coordinate all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
Supervise and support team members, fostering a positive working environment and ensuring efficient team management.
Oversee food safety procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Monitor food production processes to maintain quality standards and consistency.
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and supervise daily activities to optimise productivity.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with safety standards.
Assist with training new staff members in food preparation, service techniques, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with suppliers to manage stock levels and order supplies as needed.
Implement promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing clientele.
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within hospitality settings.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques.
Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
Demonstrable leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising staff.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Knowledge of food production processes, kitchen operations, and hospitality industry practices.
Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential.
Exceptional communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
