Ollie's is a high-end, family-run restaurant in Torquay, celebrating all things local. Our menu showcases dry-aged Dartmoor beef and the finest seafood sourced from Brixham Fish Market, with a strong focus on quality, provenance, and seasonality.
We are proud to have built a fantastic reputation for both food and service, and we also operate our sister restaurant, Portofino Torquay, further strengthening our presence in the local dining scene.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Front of House Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our front of house operation. You will play a key role in maintaining our high standards, leading the team, and delivering an exceptional guest experience in a refined yet welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day running of front of house operations
Deliver high-end, professional service in line with Ollie's standards
Lead, train, and motivate the front of house team
Ensure a warm, welcoming, and seamless guest experience
Manage reservations, table plans, and service flow
Handle guest feedback with professionalism and care
Maintain excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness, and organisation
Work closely with the kitchen and senior management team
Ensure compliance with health & safety and licensing regulations
About You
Proven experience as a Front of House Manager or Senior Supervisor in a quality restaurant
A passion for hospitality and local, seasonal produce
Confident, hands-on leader who leads by example
Highly organised and calm under pressure
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Approachable, professional, and guest-focused
