Operations & Marketing Manager



Location: Hook, St. Peter Port, Guernsey

Reports to: Executive Chef

This is a full-time, on-site role based at the restaurant.
Hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.

Role Overview



We are looking for an Operations & Marketing Manager to work closely with the Executive Chef and support the day-to-day organisation and growth of the business.

This is a central coordination role designed to bring structure, consistency, and follow-through across marketing, HR administration, bookings, and internal communications.

The successful candidate will help implement agreed growth initiatives, improve operational processes, and ensure that important workstreams are properly owned and delivered, allowing the wider management team to focus on service, leadership, and business development.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, commercially aware, and comfortable working collaboratively within a small, close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities



1) Marketing & Communications

Support the execution of the restaurant's marketing activity in line with the agreed growth plan. Manage and schedule social media content across relevant platforms. Support targeted outreach campaigns (e.g. corporate lunches, private dining, events). Maintain the restaurant's website and Google Business profile. Coordinate email marketing to the customer database. Track and report basic marketing performance metrics (engagement, enquiries, bookings driven).
2) Design & In-House Materials

Produce in-house printed materials. Maintain brand consistency across all printed and digital assets. Support the creation of simple marketing material for events, offers, and campaigns. Coordinate external designers or printers when required.
3) HR Administration

Support all HR administrative duties, including: contracts, onboarding, right-to-work checks, staff records, holiday tracking, sickness tracking, compliance documentation Act as a point of contact for staff HR queries. Support recruitment activity: posting job ads, screening CVs, coordinating interviews Help maintain the staff handbook and internal policies.
4) Bookings & Private Dining Coordination

Support the restaurant's bookings management process. Coordinate private dining and large group enquiries from initial enquiry through to confirmation. Manage: menus, deposits, pre-orders, dietary requirements, table plans Act as a liaison between guests and the operations team for events and large bookings. Help ensure private dining experiences are well-organised, professional, and profitable.
5) Operational Support & Reporting

Support the Executive Chef and wider management team with: weekly reporting, performance tracking, project coordination. Help implement new systems, processes, and growth initiatives. Act as a central point of organisation across departments. Identify operational issues and propose practical solutions.

Candidate Profile



Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Comfortable managing multiple workstreams at once. Commercially aware and interested in revenue growth. Confident communicator, both written and verbal. Able to take ownership and work independently. Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Experience in hospitality operations, marketing, administration, or a similar role preferred. Confident using basic design software (e.g. Canva, Adobe) and digital tools.

Pay: 40,000.00 per year
