Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a high standard of presentation. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities. Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during service and food preparation. Clear tables promptly and assist with setting up for subsequent service periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including side stations and dining spaces. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Provide attentive guest services, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests courteously. Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities to handle busy service periods. Basic maths skills for processing bills accurately. Experience in kitchen operations or culinary arts is advantageous but not essential. Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and sales. Guest service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
