Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring prompt and courteous service throughout their visit Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining presentation standards and adhering to food safety regulations Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations Upsell menu items and specials to maximise sales opportunities while providing genuine recommendations to guests Manage table settings, clear used dishes, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system and provide correct change or receipts Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper food handling and hygiene practices Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods and special events

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting Upselling skills to enhance guest experience and maximise revenue opportunities Flexibility to adapt to various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
