We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of The Ship Inn Bar & Bistro in the coastal town of Musselburgh The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing both front-of-house and back-of-house activities, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality food preparation. Manage and supervise staff. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring satisfaction with their dining experience. Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones. Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation regarding food safety, health, and safety standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with a background in food. Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with both staff and customers. A passion for hospitality, coupled with strong leadership qualities to inspire your team.
