Job Function:
The main purpose of this role is to ensure the customer receives the highest levels of customer service. To assist the operational running of the cafe /bar and ensure the staff are fulfilling their role to the best of their ability.
?To provide excellent customer service
?To maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety
?Ensure high standards and efficiency of work.
?Maintain strict stock and financial control.
Duties
?Supervise the smooth running of the cafe /bar.
?Ensure the venue opens on time and staff are ready for business.
?Ensure excellent front of house service, allocate and support staff with speed of service and cleanliness of the venue.
?Always keep staff busy and productive.
?Ensure staff meet the required standards of the cafe bar addressing any issues that arise.
?Liaise on shift with kitchen team to resolve any problems and ensure great service,
?Complete daily paperwork to ensure the safe running of the venue.
?Preempt and actively respond to problems that arise and keep the manager updated on any issues.
?Ensure the venue closes on time, and the end of shift jobs completed to a high standard.
?All back and front of house areas are checked and secured.
?To actively maintain all areas within your remit, i.e., toilets
?To clean and maintain all equipment and advise management of any problems.
?Assist in cash handling procedures as required.
?Feedback on your shift to the manager and supervisor taking over from you.
?Attend all staff meetings.
Stock and Financial control
? Provide supervision and assist in the timely and accurate completion
?To follow all, till and cashing up procedures.
?Detailed check of deliveries for accuracy and quality of product
?Ensuring stock is received and secured on delivery.
?Ensure stock rotation is applied when storing the delivery.
?Display stock levels should be monitored throughout your shift and replenished where required.
?Recording any wastage.
Assist with training of staff.
?Assist in induction days as required.
?Monitor new staff and allocate "Shadows" for their first few shifts.
?Feedback to the manager any areas where refresher training may be required.
?Help coach staff whilst on shift.
?Brief staff at the beginning of the shift and debrief at the end of the shift.
Health and safety
?Ensure high standards of health and safety are always maintained.
?Complete required cleaning tasks in accordance with the company standards, all cleaning carried out to the highest standard.
?Ensure storage areas are kept clean and tidy in a safe condition.
?Ensure any faults or problems with the equipment and the venue are recorded.
?Work in a way to minimize risks to health safety and security.
?Ensure all cleaning products and any other substance that could cause are securely stowed away.
?To have a full understanding of the fire and evacuation procedures
Personal Development
?Ensure personal mandatory training is up to date.
?Experience is essential.
?Previous experience of cafe /bar work
