Part-Time / Permanent

Shaws Fine Meats are looking for an experienced Retail Butcher or sales assistant to join our shop team. This is a part-time, permanent position around 24-30 hours per week plus holiday cover over set shifts. Saturday morning availability is essential.

Responsibilities

Preparing, cutting, and presenting meat to the highest standards. Serving customers in our retail shop with a friendly, professional manner. Advising customers on cuts, cooking methods, and product ranges. Maintaining excellent hygiene, health & safety, and food handling standards. Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the shop and supporting colleagues as required.
About You

Experienced in traditional butchery skills (boning, trimming, portioning, etc.). Passionate about quality meat and customer service. Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (certification an advantage). Good communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
