H G Gladwell & Sons Ltd was established in 1912 and now manufactures and distributes a range of pet food and pet related goods. These products are in bags or boxes, which weigh up to approximately 25 kg.

We are looking for a delivery driver to join our Southam team, if you are interested please up load your CV.

Position reports into:

Branch Manager

Job Purpose:

To make deliveries using a transit van in an accurate and timely fashion to customers. A degree of manual handling is required. Support the store when there are no deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately process and deliver orders to our Customers Sustain and improve sales performance and customer satisfaction relating to the branch Accurate collection of payment from Customers, this may include handling cash. Be an ambassador for the Company and promote good customer relations and service Ensure all established procedures are adhered to Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate and liaise verbally with co-workers, supervisors and managers to optimise department performance Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant Health and Safety procedures.

Duties include but are not exclusive:

Processing paperwork accurately Pre-start checks on the vehicles and report any faults Maintain cleanliness of vehicle Communicating with other departments as necessary When not on delivery assist in the Branches on: performing selling and customer service activities competently Maintenance of the hygiene of the branch. Stock control and replenishment of goods

Skills:

Clean drivers licence and a good knowledge of local geography Must be numerate and literate as will be working from written instructions Forklift truck experience would be an advantage Must be flexible with regards to start times and days to cover holidays and training Good communication skills are essential Ability to work under own initiative is important Clean driving licence
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 10.15-12.39 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
