Job Description

The Whisky Shop is the largest specialist whisky retailer in the UK with 22 stores.

We have had a presence in Manchester's city centre since 2013 in the fashionable Exchange area.

We are currently looking for an experienced Retail Manager for this popular and prestigious store.

Aplicants should have experience in specialist retail management. Experience within the food and drinks sector or knowledge and appreciation for Scottish whisky would also be beneficial.

As well as offering great customer service the following tasks will be expected of you-

Leading and training a team of staff.

Ensuring a well merchandised store including windows.

Stock replenishment including organising stock, deliveries etc.

Upkeep of the store including Health & Safety responsibilities.

Administrative works and good communication with colleagues, The Whisky Shop head office and brand representatives.

Local social media.

We also host tasting events and will require someone with confidence speaking to larger groups.

We operate a mail order service, Click & Collect service and a Whisky Auction which all staff need to advise on and fulfill.

Other key attributes include-

flexibility - you will be responsible for ensuring the shop is always operating as it should be

Confidence whilst also taking direction and advice.
