About the Role:
The Retail Operations Manager will oversee the operational functions of retail stores in ME+EM. You will ensure compliance with policies and procedures, optimise operational efficiency, manage stock accuracy and uphold health and safety standards across an expanding property portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying risks and opportunities, providing regular training, and delivering retail performance reports.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with payment processes and financial policies.
Conduct training on policies, procedures, and financial compliance.
Manage compliance with store operational procedures.
Oversee and track staff uniform processes.
Sit at the Health and Safety Committee representing retail and managing actions and adherence of policies in store as well as training on basic Health and Safety Standards.
Coordinate stock control operations and manage communication between all stock controllers.
Coordinate stock accuracy reports and actions including discrepancies
Oversee inventory management and product delivery logistics ensuring accurate counts and optimal level coordination.
Generate and deliver retail performance reports to Senior Managers and stores.
Lead operations training programs, including new hire onboarding.
Ensure all retail store procedures are clearly outlined and consistently followed.
Maintain the Retail User Manual, working with key stakeholders to ensure it is up to date and communicated to the retails teams.
Manage tracking and communication of retail incentive programs.
Provide retail updates and ensure clear dissemination of information across stores.
Manage store supply ordering and vendor communication to ensure timely replenishment and service.
Coordinate security and cleaning requirements in store.
Coordinate and organise all relevant retail ops requirements for store openings (across all territories).
Skills:
Proven experience in retail operations management, preferably in a multi-site environment.
Strong understanding of retail processes, compliance, and financial procedures.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Strong analytical skills for reporting and problem-solving.
Knowledge of health and safety standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
