Retail Operations Manager

5 days per week - variable shifts 05:00-17:00hrs (Mon-Sat)

Pay:

Basic salary

30,000-40,000.00 p.a

. (depending on experience)

Plus up to 10% discretionary performance bonus.

The Company:

The Jolly Baker is a fast growing traditional British bakery business. We sell a wide range of high quality, freshly made savouries, sandwiches, cakes, snacks and drinks directly through our busy shops (based in Sunbury, Ashford, Staines, Virginia Water & Twickenham) and from our fleet of retail sandwich vans.

The Role:

Due to business expansion we are looking for an experienced Retail Operations Manager to join us to manage the operational performance and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our retail Shops and Sandwich Vans. You will need to be experienced in motivating and developing teams to drive sales performance, deliver excellent customer service and maximise profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing retail staff.

Staff rota planning within budget.

Initiating and implementing operational procedures.

Optimising inventory.

Implementing merchandising standards.

Compliance management: food standards, health and safety and company policies.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years Retail sales (or similar customer focused industry).

Minimum 3 years in a people-management role.

Food Safety knowledge with confidence to be able to speak to Environmental Health or Trading Standards during routine visits.

Skills:

A natural people-manager who leads by example.

Able to lead and motivate staff to maintain high operational standards.

A strong verbal and written communicator.

An effective problem solver.

Current driving licence holder.

Vehicle owner (as you will need to visit multiple retail sites most days)

Aged 25+ (in order to drive company vehicles)

Education:

Minimum A Level (or equivalent)
