Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant to work in our very busy angling shops in Bangor and Belfast. The ideal candidate must have access to a car and be able to work in both stores when required.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Engage with customers through effective communication to understand their needs and preferences. Upsell products by recommending complementary items that enhance the shopping experience. Maintain a clean and organised sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is well-displayed and stocked. Handle transactions accurately using the till, including cash handling and processing card payments. Respond to customer inquiries via phone or in person with excellent phone etiquette. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment for all customers.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Proficient in basic maths for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Ability to sell effectively, demonstrating confidence in product knowledge and customer engagement though not essential, would be an advantage A friendly demeanour with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
