Job Description

We have PART TIME/FULL TIME seasonal positions available within our store in Barnstaple (Devon Outdoor and Camping Supplies at Ashford Garden Centre. This position may not become permanent (must be available until at least end of August).

We are busy camping and caravanning stores selling leading brands of tents, awnings and accessories, inc. Camptech, Coleman, Dometic, Dorema, Kampa, Isabella, Outdoor Revolution, Outwell, Telta and Vango.

Responsibilities will include: -
- Greeting customers and helping them with their purchases or advising where necessary
- Answering the phone and taking clear, legible messages
- Handling deliveries, pricing and shelving stock

- Website order fulfilment
- Helping to pitch tents, look after tent display and keeping other display areas tidy

Retail experience would be useful, but most importantly, you must have a friendly and helpful nature and be enthusiastic. THIS CAN BE A PHYSICALLY DEMANDING JOB. Some interest in the outdoors, camping or caravanning would be beneficial.

Some flexibility over working hours would be useful and weekend working will be required (especially during the summer months). Employment subject to a two week trial.

Although the store is on a bus route, it would be beneficial if you can drive and have your own vehicle.

Shifts will be: -

9.00 - 5.00 Monday to Saturday
10.00 - 4.30 Sunday

(Hours may vary slightly in/out season)

28 days annual leave (pro rata)
