Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our busy Village Shop on a part-time basis as a Retail Sales Assistant.

The ideal candidate will be able to work 12-16 hours per week and will be able to cover sickness and holidays, sometimes at short notice.

The shift patterns are broken down into 3 per day which are:

5.30am - 11.00am 11.00am - 4.30pm 4.30pm - 9.15pm
These will need to be taken into consideration when applying for this role.

Previous experience in a convenience store/newsagents/off-license is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate.

The position includes:

Maximising sales in-store through excellence in customer service Taking and putting away daily/weekly deliveries Ensuring that stock is rotated and replenished throughout every shift Keeping the shop clean and tidy throughout every shift Completing all opening and closing responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

Be extremely customer focused Be flexible, reliable and team orientated as well as be able to work on own initiative to complete tasks required and have an organised approach to their work Have the ability to maintain good product knowledge at all times Possess excellent communication skills to be able to deliver the first-rate customer service that is expected in this industry.
