In-store / showroom retail sales role

We're looking for a reliable, hard-working person to join the retail team at One Stop Grow Shop. You'll be working directly with customers in-store, helping them choose the right hydroponic and horticultural gear for their grow.

This is a part-time role, working 2 days a week on a rota that includes weekdays and weekends.

You'll need experience in a customer-facing retail role, a good attitude, and a willingness to learn. It's a hands-on job where product knowledge matters -- and we'll make sure you're trained up properly.

The ideal candidate will:

Be enthusiastic to learn about and understand the hydroponics industry. Have experience of advanced gardening techniques (beneficial, but not essential). Have experience using basic IT software and the ability to quickly pick up in-house software services. Enjoy talking to and forming relationships with a range of different people. Enjoy working within a team and achieving daily targets. Take satisfaction in helping customer with their enquiries. Have strong communication, organisation & interpersonal skills. Use initiative to think of different ways of achieving objectives. Enjoy supporting departmental managers to resolve problems. Have a resilient, persistent, and positive approach to overcoming hurdles.
The role will include:

Meeting and greeting showroom customers. Serving customer face to face, by telephone & by email. Processing digital payments. Cash handling. Picking and packing customer orders. Negotiating discount levels with customers. Up selling and cross selling products and brands. Demonstrating products to customers. Maintaining showroom displays and showcasing products. Cleaning and tidying. Carrying out warehouse duties. Receiving goods in from suppliers. Working as part of a larger team. Carrying out tasks as set by line managers.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
