We're really excited for our next retail expansion to come to the lovely market town of Morpeth! Our first retail opening since 2022 our new shop on Newgate Street will be a lively, fast paced high street bakery just like our original at the top of Pink Lane.
We're looking for a full time manager who'll be the cheerful face of our brand new shop. You'll be a longtime food industry professional, having managed staff and overseen other busy food service environments. Here, at our well known independent bakery you'll bring your hospitality energy to serving our carefully made artisan products. We're looking for someone who'll be really excited about our skillfully made sourdough, breakfast pastries, quality pies, sausage rolls and savouries and of course our full range of cakes and patisserie. There'll be some baking off on site and takeaway hot food production so
You'll be an experienced barista, able to keep our coffee quality consistent, dialling in grind and looking after your machine while managing your team to make great coffees every time too.
We're looking for experience of managing food hygiene, the issues that go along with this and a good awareness of best practice around allergens. You'll be a calm, methodical person able to maintain a really efficient, clean and well organised shop.
You'll be supported by our strong Gosforth based senior management team and roving retail operations manager who'll be with you every step of the way with this new opening. Within this framework of support we're looking for someone in this new shop manager role who really gets our way of working- a self sufficient problem solver who cheerfully finds the solutions to the everyday challenges of a busy retail day.
