Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced stock controller

Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for preparing stock in store for auto order generation. You should have an excellent eye for detail as this is a new project for the company and you will be driving this forward to successful fruition and will then be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the system.

Areas of responsibilities and duties will include but not limited to:

Branch stock counting and cycle counting, organising an initial stocktake, implementing a cycle count routine in each branch

Weekly spot checks in branches, visiting branches and resolving any issues highlighted by the stock check

Reviewing sales and adjusting minimum and maximum stock levels, discussing findings with product managers and branches

Weekly checks on auto generation of branch orders

Adjusting data in PPD (the stock system) using the import facility

Ad hoc statistical analysis as necessary to support decision making and investigating stock discrepancies

Ensure all staff are following procedures and instructions, give instruction where necessary

Ensure that there are good communication channels between the staff, branches, Distribution Manager and yourself

Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures at all times

Report any issues that may compromise the efficient working operation to the Distribution manager

Be willing to undertake any training required

Be willing to travel to other stores to preform stock related tasks

Currently the company has 9 branches across North Wales, the Northwest and Midlands. The successful applicant will be travelling to all these so should have a full, clean licence and be prepared to use company vehicles.

The role is full time with an expectation of around 35 hours per week. You will be based at the head office in Mostyn.

Pay: 25,000.00-26,000.00 per year
