Job Description

Nisbets Limited are currently recruiting for a Retail Stock & Range Analyst to join our Retail Operations team and play a key role in driving stock accuracy, availability, and commercial performance across our retail estate.

This role will be based at one of our retail offices around the UK, with flexibility to work from home as part of a hybrid working pattern following a period of training.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock health and range planning across our stores, ensuring the right products are available at the right time to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with teams across Retail, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Warehousing to optimise replenishment, streamline reporting, and support strategic decision-making.

You will lead initiatives to improve forecasting, manage promotional planning, and phase in new product lines, while maintaining oversight of store processes and compliance. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and analytically driven individual with a strong background in stock or supply chain management.

Key Accountabilities

Manage stock accuracy, availability, and health across the retail estate, improving forecasting and replenishment processes. Lead range planning, including phasing in new lines and phasing out discontinued products, aligned with store formats and trading timelines. Support stock planning for new store launches and promotional events. Conduct store visits to inform forecasting and ensure process compliance. Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for stores and stock teams. Prepare regular reports with actionable insights to support commercial and operational decisions. Collaborate with Retail, Warehouse, and Carrier teams to ensure smooth replenishment operations. Translate complex data into clear documentation for stakeholders across the business.

Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required

Proven Inventory management system experience would be essential Experience in forecasting within a fast-moving, multi-SKU environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Good understanding of ERP systems through hands-on experience. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to collaborate across departments and prioritise workload effectively. Willingness to travel to stores to understand regional variations and operational needs.
