Job Description
The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is a well-established charity, we have recently moved in our new purpose built home located within Bellahouston Park. The Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with a life-limiting and progressive illnesses and provide support for their families and carers.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our retail operation. As Retail Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, you will champion the recruitment, stewardship, and celebration our volunteer workforce across our charity shops, online and warehouses. With a sharp focus on building meaningful relationships, you will lead onboarding, engagement, and recognition strategies that make every volunteer feel seen, valued, and empowered. This is a purpose-driven role that blends community outreach, operational excellence, and people-first leadership to ensure our volunteers are not only well-supported, but inspired to contribute to a cause that touches thousands of lives each year.
Role Dimensions
To provide a best-in-class retail volunteer recruitment process to support our volunteers, including advertising positions, reviewing applications and conducting interviews.
Ensuring all necessary paperwork and background checks are completed during the onboarding process.
To engage and maintain positive relationships with all volunteers, ensuring their hours of volunteering is celebrated, and rewarded.
Work closely with all members of the retail team to understand local volunteer needs and help attract suitable candidates for specific shop locations.
