Now part of The Heritage Wine Company, we are entering an exciting new chapter, expanding our retail, online, and events operations. To support this growth, we're seeking an experienced Retail Wine Manager to oversee our multi-outlet operations and ensure our customers receive an outstanding experience.
About the Role
We are looking for passionate and knowledgeable Retail Wine Sales Assistants to join our multi-outlet retail operation. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a first-class customer experience--both in-store and online--while supporting the growth of our premium wine and spirits business.
You will also work closely with our management to help maintain product consistency, engage with promotions, and help drive sales at your location.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Leadership:
Support daily shop operations, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming customer experience.
Customer Engagement:
Confidently recommend wines to customers, both in-store and over the phone, using your product knowledge to enhance their experience.
Stock & Merchandising:
Keep shelves well-stocked, maintain a visually appealing retail environment, and ensure consistency across all outlets.
Promotions & Events:
Embrace our marketing strategies and work with existing staff to drive sales performance so that your store delivers exceptional customer service.
E-Commerce & Logistics:
Engage in order fulfillment, ensuring timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.

Who We're Looking For
You're a dynamic, hands-on retail assistant with a passion for wine a talent for building customer relationships. We are looking for people who are passionate about wine, proactive, organised and customer focused. A successful candidate will be able to navigate customer engagement and satisfaction with a clear awareness of our business goals.
Essential Skills
Retail Experience (wine or premium goods preferred).
Excellent wine knowledge (WSET qualifications preferred).
Strong People & Sales Skills A natural communicator who thrives in customer-facing roles.
Tech-Savvy - Confident using Microsoft Office & modern EPOS systems.
Physically able to lift wine cases when needed.
Willingness to work weekends and occasional evenings for events.
Full UK driving license and flexibility to cover shifts across all locations as required.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Desirable attributes
Experience updating and managing an e-commerce website (adding products, prices, etc.).
Ability to manage customer databases and assist with email marketing campaigns.
