Working as part of a local housing team within Housing Operations, you will be based within Coatbridge/Kilsyth Housing Locality assisting the Housing Co-ordinator and Senior Retirement Housing Officer to manage our retirement housing complexes, and will work in partnership to develop services for residents within our Retirement Housing complexes and the wider community.

A key priority will be to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and to provide them with an enhanced housing management and property maintenance service which assists them in maintaining their tenancies within the older persons housing complex and assists in the upkeep of the wider environment around these tenancies.

An S/NVQ level 2 joint Chartered Institute of Housing Award / Principles of Care Unit or equivalent relevant Housing Qualification, extended experience of working with the public or customers, preferably in the delivery of housing services, as well as experience of liaising and communicating with other agencies and services are essential.

With a proactive approach to work, you should understand the issues older people face within the community and have an approachable nature. You will assist with and promote the use of communal facilities and recreational facilities to residents within the complex and the wider community, so experience of organising social events and encouraging participation is desirable.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.

Working pattern: Saturday & Sunday 08:00 - 16:30 hours
