Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Retrofit Assessor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating existing buildings and recommending energy-efficient upgrades. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control measures to ensure that proposed retrofits are both effective and financially viable. The Retrofit Assessor will work closely with clients to identify opportunities for improvement, ultimately contributing to sustainability goals and energy conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of buildings to evaluate their energy performance and identify areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and potential cost savings associated with proposed retrofits. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance energy efficiency. Monitor and analyse project budgets to ensure adherence to cost control measures throughout the retrofit process. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to energy efficiency and sustainability. Produce Assessments for both ECO and BUS funding works.

Requirements

Proven experience in building assessments or energy auditing is highly desirable. Strong understanding of cost control principles related to retrofit projects. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with clients and presenting findings clearly. Familiarity with relevant legislation, standards, and best practices in energy efficiency is an advantage. A DEA and RA qualification is essential. Experience using Elmhurst/EcoSurv systems is preferable also.
