Reuse Shop Manager

29,171 - 34,319 per annum

As a Reuse Shop Manager at FCC Environment, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Reuse Shop. You will lead and support a small team to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining safe, organised, and high-quality shop standards. You'll manage donations, stock, and finances - playing a vital role in supporting sustainability and reducing landfill waste.

This vacancy is a permanent full-time position, working on a rota basis for an average of 42hrs per week. Weekend work will be required.

What will you be doing?

- Leading the daily operation of the Reuse Shop, including opening and closing
- Managing and training a small team of staff covering a 7 day per week rota pattern
- Pricing, displaying and organising donated goods to maximise sales
- Using a barcoding system and EPOS till to track stock and sales
- Managing shop budgets and sales reporting, including reconciliation and banking
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through strong service delivery
- Organising promotional activities and supporting external events
- Inspecting and testing donated electrical items for resale
- Coordinating with Recycling Centre teams and supporting contract-wide best practice
- Promoting FCC Environment's sustainability values by reducing waste to landfill

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a motivated, organised and customer-focused individual with:

- Proven experience in retail
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office 365 and till systems
- A proactive and flexible attitude
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- The ability to build positive working relationships and represent FCC professionally
- A passion for reuse, recycling and sustainability
