Are you on board?

We're looking for a commercially minded and data-savvy Revenue Optimisation Analysis and Insights Analyst who will play a key part in providing the analytical and research foundation for LNER's Fares Utopia Programme, which aims to simplify and create fairer fares for customers.

You'll be required to share insights with key internal and external stakeholders in order to gain buy-in to the Programme's vision. This includes scoping research requirements, leading external research commissions, collaborating with internal and external analysts, and providing customer and commercial assurance for programme proposals.

Additionally, you will support the Revenue Optimisation Analysis and Insights Lead to build an analytical framework within the Revenue Optimisation & Strategy team. You'll also support in developing and maintaining Revenue Management dashboards which is paramount for streamlining reporting and generating clearer RM insights.

Within this role you will;

Conduct in-depth analysis to support fares reform initiatives, assessing the impact of proposed changes on revenue, customer behaviour, and operational viability. Build and maintain analytical models to simulate the effects of different fare structures, including customer segmentation and price elasticity analysis. Collaborate with internal teams as well as wider industry stakeholders to align with strategic programmes such as Project Oval and Simpler Fares. Support the development of robust business cases, providing credible commercial and customer insight to inform decision-making. Lead on the definition and gathering of analytical and research requirements across the programme. Act as the primary contact for externally commissioned research and analytics, ensuring robustness in their outputs. Work closely with LNER's Commercial Analysis team to ensure consistency in reporting standards and data usage. Liaise with external industry and government bodies as needed to support project appraisal and business case development. Provide commercial and customer assurance by validating programme proposals against robust insight and analysis. Source and integrate broader market and behavioural insights, including post-COVID research, to strengthen programme outcomes. Monitor the performance of in-flight projects to enable early identification of customer and commercial benefit realisation. Support the development and maintenance of revenue management dashboards and contribute to building a wider analytical framework.
