SALARY

: Starting at 12.60 per hour.


HOURS:




Reviewing Officer (Care at Home): 22.5 hours per week*
Reviewing Officer (Housing Support): 15 hours per week*


Both of these roles have the option to be made up to full time hours with additional days on support/care at home).


JOB ROLE





As a Reviewing Officer, you should embrace the philosophy of mental health recovery and person-centred working, maintaining a warm, supportive, and caring atmosphere. You will be key in providing opportunities for the personal growth and development of our service users whilst maintaining respect and dignity and maximising our service users independence.

You will support the process of service user reviews of each service for Care at Home or Housing Support services.

You will be responsible for the scheduling and completion of service user support reviews, updating of service user records to reflect agreed changes and reviewing, and updating all risk assessments.

You will liaise with other agencies to support unmet needs and agree appropriate changes to maximise service user independence and quality of life.

You will ensure that staff, service user and carer participation is maximised and support meaningful input to Care Inspectorate self-assessments, service user and stakeholder surveys, supporting a co-production approach where this will lead to service improvements.

You will be responsible for promoting the development of the local service user group, Supporting service users to achieve their objectives through relevant activities and opportunities.

You will keep staff teams updated with any relevant changes agreed during the reviewing process.

STANDARDS OF PRACTICE




The post holder will be personally responsible for registering with the SSSC, for maintaining their registration, and complying with any requirements relating to registration set out by SSSC, including any training requirements. The post holder has a personal responsibility as a social care worker to adhere to SSSC codes of practice, and these can be seen at: www.sssc.uk.com.



The post holder must also take personal responsibility for being familiar with and implementing the quality areas outlined by the Care Inspectorate, and the relevant National Care Standards that are based on: Dignity, Privacy, Choice, Safety, Realising Potential, and Equality and Diversity. In addition, the post holder has a personal responsibility to deliver the service in line with the principles of Self-Directed Support.



As an employee of Centred (Scotland), the post holder must also represent and uphold the responsibilities placed on an employer by the SSSC and take responsibility for being fully aware of what this involves.


PERSON SPECIFICATION




ATTRIBUTES





Qualifications*


At least SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards this. A PDA qualification in Medication Administration or be willing to work towards this.
Work Experience and Management*


Direct experience in the delivery of mental health services or care at home service. Sound knowledge of current care philosophies, and the recovery model in practice in mental health. Familiarity with computerised management information systems. Use of quality assurance tools
Skills Abilities Knowledge*


Ability to manage your own workload Ability to self-motivate Can be adaptable within their role and shows initiative. Has good communication skills, both oral and written. Effective administrative skills. Skilled in report writing. Basic IT skills to include ability to deal with reports, email, intranet, and internet Knowledge of, and commitment to, valuing diversity, equal opportunities and related practices to support this.
Circumstances*


A full driving licence, access to vehicle with business insurance
Commitment*


Commitment to undertake relevant training courses and attend meetings, including outside the Highland area as appropriate. Willingness to stay overnight occasionally in other locations for courses/meetings if required Willingness to be adaptable to ensure that service needs are met including at short notice on occasions.
