Job Description
We are currently working with a reputable engineering consultancy seeking to recruit a BIM/ REVIT Technician to work on a variety of challenging projects including healthcare, commercial offices, education, retail, mixed use and residential schemes. As a BIM/ REVIT Technician, you will be responsible for providing structural and civil engineering drawings for construction projects across the business.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing structural and civil engineering drawings using REVIT/AutoCAD.
- Collaborating with colleagues e.g., team leader and immediate design team, and keeping them informed on issues pertinent to your projects.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining BIM standards, guidelines, and best practices for the company.
- Ensuring that project teams comply with all BIM requirements, including quality control, project delivery and model management.
- Providing technical support to the project engineers.
- Attending meetings and carrying out site inspections as direct by the team leader.
- ONC or HNC in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Ambition to work towards achieving IEng or TEng status with IStructE or ICE.
- Working knowledge of Government BIM standards.
- Proficient in preparing drawings using REVIT/AutoCAD in a Civil/Structural or related field.
