Ride Operator

Location: LEGOLAND\xc2\xae Windsor Resort, Windsor, SL4 4AY

Hours: Fully Flexible; working up to 5 days out of 7, covering hours that can be between 9:00am-7:00pm on a rotational basis (earlies, lates, lunch covers)

Pay: up to \xc2\xa310.42 per hour + pension, ongoing training and Merlin Magic Pass - 20 free tickets for you, your family and friends to enjoy all of our Merlin Attractions across the world

Contract Type: Full time until January 2024. Please note these roles require availability for September, October, November, December & January. If you are only available for weekend and school holidays we will not consider your application at this time.

About the role of Ride Operator

Reporting to the Rides & Attractions Manager the Ride Operator is a hands-on role, operating our rides and always striving to provide a memorable experience, whether you\'re working on the iconic Dragon coaster or in a real-life LEGO submarine interacting with guests, you will seek out ways to put the thrill into their day! (Internally this role is known as Guest Experience Host)

Some of the daily duties of a ride operator will include:

  • Height checking our guests to ensure they meet the minimum height requirement to safely ride
  • Batching guests safely into ride vehicles
  • Communicating with your colleagues regarding rides safety measures
  • Operating the rides using detailed and comprehensive operational panels, having undergone significant and thorough Rides and Health & Safety training
  • Putting yourself into the shoes of our guests and thinking of new and exciting ways to elevate their time with us! Whether that\'s encouraging your queue line to sing happy birthday to a guest with a birthday badge, suggesting what rides our guests might like based on their interests, or simply giving everyone a warm, personalised greeting - the opportunities to make magic are everywhere!

About You
  • You will be proud to deliver excellent customer service, always having a bright smile regardless of the weather and seeking out opportunities to surprise and delight our guests!
  • Have a passion for our brand
  • You must be comfortable to undertake comprehensive health & safety training and assessments, always seeking new ways to learn and develop your knowledge and skills
  • Must be over 18 with full time availability from now - January 2024

About the LEGOLAND\xc2\xae Windsor Resort

We are looking for full time Ride Operators to join our AWESOME Rides & Attractions team at the UK\'s favourite children\'s theme park; the LEGOLAND\xc2\xae Windsor Resort. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is the ultimate destination for families with children age 2-12. The Resort is home to two awesome LEGO themed Hotels and a host of rides, shows and attractions built around the iconic LEGO\xc2\xae brick. This role is based at the Windsor theme park, located in 150 acres of beautiful parkland.
