Wood is recruiting Rig Drilling Supervisor to support our client's Operations and Maintenance team on contract basis.
Hybrid working - 3 days working from Northop's office
The Role
You will be providing engineering support for planning, preparation and reviewing drilling & completion and abandonment operations. Assuring that all the operations are safely planned and executed, all well operations are prepared and executed within the defined and authorised program and budget to meet the Company's objective. Supervise the execution of well operations, assuring that operations conform to plans and are being carried out safely, efficiently, managing offshore manpower, rig, material supplies and stock, resolving difficulties which could otherwise delay well operations.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Concur in preparing all well operations planning
Review contractors and service companies' performance
Support any relevant audit conducted by Client
Assure that all the operations under the well operations responsibility comply with the Company Safety Management System.
Ensure contractor personnel, services and materials are available at the rig site when required to avoid any delay in operations.
Supervising well operations carried out by the company's and contractor's personnel at the rig site.
Drilling & completion and abandonment Operations:
To assist in the preparation of technical specifications and scopes of work for tendering equipment and services for well operations.
Coordinate well operations activities in accordance with programmes, the Company's procedures and best practices
Report to drilling/completion Spt regularly during the progress of the operations, and agree and implement any corrective action if necessary.
To prepare the operational daily costs.
Monitoring the consumption and stock of materials available at the rig site, and requesting personnel , materials, and services in due time in order to avoid any delay in the operations.
To participate in all Risk Assessment (HAZOP_HAZID) before each operation, and ensure that all the relevant actions captured in the assessment are closed before starting the operations.
To represent the company at the rig site in all matters
Ensure that all well operations are carried out in safety, with good oilfield practice and in accordance with the programme and all the relevant company standards and HSEQ procedures.

Expected:
Engineering or Science Degree or Equivalent
Previous experience in similar role
Good knowledge and understanding of Oil Industry and Upstream Activities.
Good management skill
Good understanding of operations and process facilities.
Valid Well control certificate
Valid Survival course (OPITO)
