We have a fantastic opportunity for a Rigger to join the team based at Hinkley Point C.



Our Nuclear & Infrastructure division has extensive experience in the specialist, highly regulated nuclear, transport (road and rail), process industries and power and energy sectors. Providing award winning design teams, utilising state-of-the-art design software and Tekla detailing facilities to offer customers value engineering. This gives a mix of proven success along with modern, innovative design and fabrication ideas to be able to provide a quality, specialised service to a growing market. They continue to set the

in their highly regulated market!

Vacancy Details

In the Rigger position you will be responsible for safely lifting, moving, and installing steel structures and heavy equipment in line with RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement), lift plans, and permits. Reporting to the Foreman, you'll be working on-site to help ensure that client project timelines are achieved while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.



Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


Assess loads and plan safe lifting/moving operations. Rig and test equipment to ensure reliability and compliance. Secure loads using appropriate tools and rigging gear. Operate lifting gear, MEWPs, Stackers, and Tracked Carriers. Maneuver heavy items in tight spaces using jacks, skates, chain blocks, and pulleys. Align, level, and install machinery and structural elements. Follow safety protocols, lift plans, and company procedures at all times. Assist other teams and departments as needed. Maintain and store rigging equipment post-use.

Key Skills & experience

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar steel erecting or rigging role.

Qualifications: (One of the following is essential)

Level 3 Diploma in Moving Engineering Construction Loads ECITB Skills Diploma in Moving Engineering Construction Loads (SCQF Level 6) Level 3 Diploma in Steel Erecting or similar qualification ECITB Skills Test TML03 / ACE Card ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Moving Loads in Construction Any equivalent Level 3 Diploma in steel structures, lifting, and positioning
