About Us:

Laker Vent Ltd is a mechanical contractor operating within the engineering construction industry. We specialise in the installation of highly regulated process piping systems, serving blue chip clients across the Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, and Petrochemical industries.

Key aims and objectives:

To deliver a high quality, consistent and competent rigging construction service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures. To support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. To ensure all that all work scope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment. To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications

Role Requirements:

Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the rigging / erection work scope is completed, in compliance with LOLER regulations and to a high standard of safety. Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work packs / job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches. Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team. Undertake appropriate Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA) to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.

Qualifications:

Essential

NVQ Level 3- Moving, Lifting and Positioning Loads/ ACE Card or equivalent In date CCNSG or CSCS card
Desirable:

COSHH Awareness Loler Awareness Approved Slinging - Banksman course IPAF

Rates & Allowances:

Contract Type: PAYE - NAECI Categorised Rates (2025) - Grade 5

Basic: 22.44/hr Rate A: 31.42/hr Rate B: 40.39/hr Hourly Bonus: 2.37/hour (subject to all hours worked) Additional 2.00 loyalty payment per worked hour will be paid every quarter (3 months), Travel & Fares: Paid as per NAECI guidelines Lodge - 80/night (taxable over 50.81)

Working Hours

(2-week rota):

Week 1:

Mon: 8 hrs Tue-Fri: 11.5 hrs/day Sat-Sun: 8 hrs/day
Week 2:

Mon-Wed: 11.5 hrs/day Thurs: 8 hrs/day Fri-Sun: OFF
