About the Role

We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious Riggers to support the industrial installation of piping systems up to 32" in diameter. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and efficient lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and components during construction activities. Working under the supervision of the Lifting General Foreman and Lifting Supervisors, you will take part in daily coordination meetings, assist with complex lifts, and ensure all rigging work is carried out in line with approved lifting plans, site safety standards, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out rigging and lifting operations safely and efficiently in accordance with approved lifting plans and site procedures.

Work under the direction of the Lifting General Foreman and Lifting Supervisors to execute planned lifts and ensure compliance with all lifting requirements.

Inspect and maintain rigging equipment to ensure it remains safe, certified, and fit for use.

Collaborate closely with crane operators, supervisors, and other trades to plan and perform lifts.

Signal and guide crane operators during lifting operations, ensuring controlled and safe load handling.

Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings; report any hazards or near misses immediately.

Assist in the positioning and alignment of large piping sections and associated components.

Maintain open and clear communication with the lifting team and other site personnel during all operations.

Qualifications & Proven Experience

Proven experience as a Rigger in an industrial, oil & gas, or heavy construction environment.

Valid rigging certification (e.g., Level 3, NVQ, or equivalent recognized qualification).

Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, slinging methods, and load control techniques.

Solid understanding of safe rigging practices and compliance with HSE standards.

Ability to read and interpret lifting plans and drawings.

Physically fit, safety-driven, and a proactive team player.

Excellent awareness of site hazards and a commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture.
