The role

In this role, to ensure payments/statements from third parties are recorded correctly and subsequently accounted to an author/agent, in your main tasks for your specific territory, you would expect to\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Process daily cash receipts against Rights contracts/invoices in the royalty system
  • Investigate unidentified cash receipts and allocate to the correct contract or department.
  • Liaise with payees and internal departments in relation to the collection and processing of sub right monies due/received.
  • Review and input royalty statements received into the Royalty System, querying any errors with the third-party licensees
  • Work with the rest of the team to administer shared departmental email account, with tasks including saving of department documentation, resolving and routing queries as appropriate.
  • Review and download royalty statements from third party royalty portal systems
You would also be expected to play a key role in the below:
  • Liaise frequently with Credit Services team to review unallocated cash receipts, to ensure debt management is accurately targeted
  • Chase third-party licensees for overdue royalty statements, where appropriate
  • Other ad-hoc work as necessary
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring:
  • A strong administrative background.
  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent numerical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience in royalty processing or another high-volume transaction business area is desirable not but essential.
This is a position that requires excellent attention to detail, a flexible working approach and good team working skills. We are looking for an individual who can work well in a team, able to prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines and is able to build strong relationships with other parts of the business.

The team:

We have a great opportunity to join the Royalty Department as a full time Rights Administrator on a permanent basis. The Royalty Department is positioned within Finance Services, which provides accounting and financial reporting for Penguin Random House.

The Rights processing team within Royalties are responsible for ensuring that the financial elements of rights contracts are interpreted into the royalty system correctly and that Licensee\xe2\x80\x99s financial statements and payments are allocated accurately.

Salary: up to \xc2\xa323,500 pro rata depending on how your skills and experience align to the role
