Do you have a kind disposition and a passion for supporting people to be their best? Then this could be the role for you! We are looking for someone with a sunny personality who is proactive, enjoys working within a supportive team and gets a buzz from seeing people thrive! Full, comprehensive training will be given.
We are expanding our Support Worker team with someone to help in the mornings between 9am and 12noon (earlier start time available). This will help people to get up and complete their morning routines, support adults in preparing their own breakfasts and orientate for the day. The 'rise and shine' Support Worker would need to follow the guidance of the neuro-therapists to maximise the person's skill development and rehab programmes during these morning routines.
There is some scope to pick up other shifts or to develop into a full Rehabilitation Support Worker role, if desired.
The role is satisfying in it's own right, but also great foundation for a career or for development within Health and Social Care. Working in a brain injury rehabilitation service is fast paced, dynamic as we see people regain lost skills and confidence in order to move onto a more fulfilled life.
Our environment is about growth - supporting people who have had a brain injury succeed in their rehabilitation goals but also in the development of staff.
We support individuals with an acquired brain injury to regain their skills, confidence and independence with the aim to return home or to more independent living. The Rehabilitation Support Workers, work alongside our neuro-therapy team to implement goals and strategies. We don't need people with vast care experience as in-depth training and mentoring is given. What we need is a variety of different types of people who are kind, grounded, proactive people who love working in a positive creative team.
All our inspected services have been awarded a very rare 'Outstanding' in all areas in their CQC inspection, making us the highest rated social care provider in England. This is due to the great environment and outcomes in working with individuals regain their lives after accident or injury.
We have been awarded the platinum level 'Investors in People'. This is almost unheard of at entry level with only 1 or 2 other companies ever achieving this. This is testament to our great team and our commitment to see individuals develop within a highly positive environment (this includes both people supported and our exceptional staff team).
We also have excellent career development programmes and opportunities, including management training programmes.
This role is on a rota basis which includes weekend work. The role will involve some personal care depending on the needs of people in the service.
You may have skills that can be well utilised in the rehab setting so don't be shy, do ask for more information! We are more than happy to discuss the role further to see how it aligns with your career aspirations.
