As our
Risk & Compliance Officer
, you'll play a key role in helping Eight stay aligned with regulations, ethical standards, and our own high expectations. You'll lead a small team and work closely with departments across the business to ensure everything we do is responsible, safe, and client-focused.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
Manage a small compliance team, providing clear direction and development support.
Monitor day-to-day business activity to ensure compliance across departments.
Lead internal audits and regulatory reviews, supported by your team.
Conduct risk assessments and follow up on identified issues.
Work closely with client-facing teams to handle complaints and escalations.
Produce timely reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Deliver training and ongoing guidance on regulatory topics.
Keep internal teams informed of any relevant regulatory changes.
What We're Looking For
Experience in compliance, risk, audit, or legal roles within financial services.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A strong working knowledge of frameworks like AML, KYC, GDPR, and MiFID II.
Experience leading or mentoring others.
Ability to stay organised and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
High integrity, attention to detail, and confidence in decision-making.
Familiarity with MS Office, Salesforce, and Monday.com (desirable).
A professional compliance qualification (ICA, CAMS or similar) is a plus.
