The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our Enterprise Risk Management Team. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Risk Officer

will be responsible for supporting both the execution of core day-to-day risk management activities as well as designing and implementing continued enhancements to the Authority's Enterprise Risk Management framework. The core day-to-day risk management activities will include overseeing the identification, measurement, monitoring and reporting of risks as well as ensuring the continuous integration of ERM into key organisational planning and decision-making processes.

This is a key role for the Authority and the post-holder

will be responsible for but not limited to:



Supporting the continued advancement and embedding of the

Authority's enterprise risk management framework, including the

implementation of risk management practices and tools

Steering the continued identification of key risk areas within the

Authority at enterprise and department level

Conducting horizon scanning to detect and assess potential threats

to the Authority's operating model

Assuming a key role in the development of appropriate risk

response strategies in collaboration with stakeholders and leading

designated internal risk working groups

Leading the periodic preparation and delivery of risk reporting

to the key Senior Stakeholders to provide an assessment of the

evolution of the Authority's profile and assisting in decision-making processes

Assisting in the continued monitoring and alignment of the

Authority's strategic initiatives and operational processes with the

BMA Board of Directors-approved risk appetite and risk profile

Supporting the ongoing improvements to the design,

implementation and maintenance of a robust architecture for

measuring risk exposure and control effectiveness, including the

identification and reassessment of suitable risk and control metrics

Fostering a sound risk culture and promoting risk awareness

by providing support, education and training to staff on risk

management and risk management issues

Performing other related tasks and special projects as assigned by

management in accordance with competencies normally associated

with this post

This position requires a proven technical and business background.

Therefore, the post-holder should have:



A master's degree in risk management, business, economics,

finance or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline from a

recognised institution or professional body

Minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience of which at

least three (3) years should be at a senior level working within

a regulated financial services business, preferably a regulatory

authority or central bank

Proven experience in the design and implementation of risk and

control and/or other frameworks

Strong written and verbal communication skills A professional qualification in risk management from an

internationally recognised and accredited organisation is an asset
