Job Purpose



To support the Operational Resilience and Risk Oversight Manager who has responsibility in ensuring compliance with risk governance requirements, including regular reviews, updating risk assessments, assessing controls and completing control testing to drive the implementation and embedding of the Banks Risk Framework across COO teams. To report on key operational risk metrics using the Xactium system, across all COO business areas maintaining a comprehensive dashboard of information for Exec level Committees. To place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers and to comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules.

Key Responsibilities:




Maintain a comprehensive risk oversight dashboard outlining Risks and Controls metrics along with their assessments, tailored for presentations to COO and other Management committees. Liaise with key stakeholders including key Operational teams across COO, Controls team and Risk department to ensure accurate documentation, clear communication and effective support for risk management activities. Support the reporting on the timely delivery of agreed actions for the annual Audit/Compliance/Risk Monitoring Programmes across COO teams. Support the delivery of the Operational Resilience and Business Continuity requirements by aligning processes with regulatory expectations. (FCA/PRA). Support the wider Operational Resilience team by assisting them with the annual review of their Risk registers and half yearly risk assessments. Generate and deliver continuous improvement to processes to provide an enhanced client service and / or increased efficiency. Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business. Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.

Knowledge/

Experience/Skills:




Banking experience is desirable, but not essential. Enthusiasm and an ability to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach is key for the candidate in this role. Strong organisational skills as the successful candidate will be required to manage key reporting deadlines. Confident in dealing with a range of stakeholders. An analytical mind and an excellent eye for detail with a methodical approach. Team player, supporting both colleagues and managers in delivering new projects and supporting existing systems. Self-motivated and driven to learn and develop skills. Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word Power point) is desirable.

Qualifications:


Educated to A Level or relevant work experience.
