Risk and Reporting Analyst \xe2\x80\x93 Financial Services Division

The Financial Services Division is one of the 3 Divisions of LSL Property Services and is made up of 5 major businesses units including the market leading PRIMIS Mortgage Network

From training, events and business development to regulatory guidance, technology, and a broad product panel, we are passionate about helping advisers achieve their goals and consistently deliver good, appropriate, customer outcomes. One of the key teams within the Division is the Risk and Compliance team who support all areas of the Division to ensure that processes and procedures are compliant and well managed.

Due to our success and the expansion of the Division we are now looking to add to the Risk and Compliance team\xe2\x80\x99s expertise with a Risk and Reporting Analyst.

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to manage all the key risk management processes and control procedures that support the management of all risks that are applicable to the LSL Financial Services division. The complexity of the division means that a significant risk universe applies to the division which is arranged within 4 key risk domains; Reputation, Regulatory, Customer and Financial. As a result, the role holder will be operating in a complex and matrix managed environment across all the businesses that make up the Division. This involves managing multiple tasks within multiple work streams and working independently with little or no supervision.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk, the role holder will be responsible for delivering a number of key tasks across the wider 2nd line Risk and Compliance team which supports the entire FS division and all the constituent departments, manage a number of general and specialist risks

  • The role will be responsible for maintaining an extensive Governance and Risk data base that stores all the FS divisions\xe2\x80\x99 risk records. This data will need to be maintained accurately and any changes and updates will need to be carefully managed to ensure that there are no impacts on historic records and audit trails.
  • The FS division has an extensive Governance framework of committees, management meeting and reporting requirements including to LSL Group. This role will ensure that accurate reporting is delivered across the Division and on time.
  • On a regular basis there will be the requirement to report on ad-hoc or one-off issues.
  • In addition to reporting lagging information the role holder is required to review and interrogate the risk records in order to provide 1st and 2nd line colleagues with information that may lead to action being taken.
  • When needed the role holder will need to support key development and regulatory change projects
Main Accountabilities
  • Deliver state of the art reporting to the FSD Senior Management team
  • Manage the key risk management records and system for the FS division risk universe
  • Leading insight and analysis and reporting to key business stakeholders to ensure that all risks and issues are identified, and appropriate actions delivered
  • Manage the risk reporting process and production schedule for the FSD risks
  • Provide additional support to the Head of Enterprise Risk in administrating the FSD Risk Governance framework in line with regulatory requirements
  • Supporting decision making governance by providing summary information on action progress
  • Managing the accuracy of data and information recorded in relation to risk management, risk event reporting and action progress
  • Lead the accurate documentation of key activity relating to the progress of the R&C Transformation plan
  • Carry out any other tasks as reasonably required by the Risk and Compliance team
  • Supporting decision making governance by attending committees and forum meetings where required to support the oversight of risks
  • Lead the accurate documentation of key project and change activity to ensure that regulatory led projects are operating efficiently and effectively
  • To carry out any other tasks as reasonably required by the Risk and Compliance Management team
Knowledge and Expertise
  • Superior XL and data design skills
  • Experience of using and developing Power BI reports using 365
  • Strong knowledge of using 365 tools and applications
  • Communication/Interpersonal skills
  • Organisational / prioritisation
  • Letter/ email writing
  • Higher level IT experience in MS office
  • Creative and commercially aware problem-solving skills and approach

Salary: \xc2\xa332,000 - \xc2\xa340,000 DOE and negotiable

Flexible location with occasion travel to office locations
