We are looking for an Underwriter looking to take the next step in your career. If you put the customer at the center of your thinking and have a minimum of 5 years underwriting experience within the Credit Insurance sector we would love to hear from you.


This is a unique opportunity for a candidate to help shape the direction and future of our risk team. Alongside sound underwriting and critical thinking, we are looking for someone who will take the initiative. OBJECTIVES :



Underwrite within your delegations on both Domestic and Export limits Deliver clear, comprehensive strategies to management on exposures and limits above your delegations Proactively manage the risk profile of your portfolio of buyers Take the lead on New Business cases to ensure a consistent underwriting approach Act as the Designated Risk Underwriter for a portfolio of Policy Holders Act as the sector expert for nominated sectors within the portfolio Keep up to date on current & economic affairs to ensure our risk strategies remain appropriate Deliver consistently excellent levels of Customer Service to all clients and attend regular meetings as required Support and collaborate with colleagues across all departments

DEMONSTRABLE SKILLS:



Highly Analytical with sound decision making Confidence to make difficult risk decisions and provide comprehensive supporting information Able to work to targets and conflicting deadlines Self-motivated and excellent at prioritising Making and communicating difficult decisions to internal and external stakeholders Strong communication both written and verbal Comfortable presenting complex information to wide audiences Ability to persuade and influence A track record of putting Policy Holders at the centre of your decision making Designing and implementing targeted risk mitigation strategies


Additional Information



This role reports directly to the Head of Underwriting, Light Industries & Services

Location: Flexible but a minimum of 2 days per week in our London office or Cardiff office is required
