We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse and Registered General Health Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop individualised care plans.
Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness.
Provide therapeutic support and counselling to patients, helping them navigate their mental health journeys.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Participate in regular training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills
Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards individuals with mental health issues.
Solid knowledge of anatomy, enabling effective assessment and intervention strategies.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanour.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy healthcare environment.
Requirements
Current registration with the NMC as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
Minimum 1 year of experience within the NHS or similar healthcare environment (required)
Strong understanding of mental health conditions and related care practices
Excellent communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
Must pass an enhanced DBS check and drug screening
Schedule Options:
8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts
