About the role

Balfour Beatty is seeking a Road Rail Operator to join our team based in Hither Green.

This is a part-time position with a minimum commitment of 8 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.



We're looking for individuals with a flexible approach to work, ready to adapt to a roster that may include nights, weekends, and bank holidays, as well as respond to changes at short notice.

What you'll be doing

Operate various Road Rail Machines to assist in the delivery of maintenance and renewals works on the rail infrastructure.

Who we're looking for

The following qualities/experience are essential:


Experience of the operation of on track plant, or an ability and willingness to learn. Have a good awareness of railway health and safety requirements. Be able to make a positive contribution to a dedicated team working on high profile contracts. An appreciation of the importance of good customer relations Hold a current UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points. Hold an in date PTS and medical
