We currently have an exciting opportunity within our kitchen team at The Fountain Inn - Lower Gornal. If you are passionate about food, hard working and committed to a future within a family run pub then we want to hear from you!
The role will involve duties such as; food preparation, keeping a clean workspace, organising and dating produce, organising deliveries and ordering stock, hitting business targets, following our food hygiene routines and checks and liaising with floor staff and bar managers to assist us in a successful food service.
After a very successful year in 2024 our chef left us at the start of this year. We are still searching for a replacement/replacements. The main area that we are missing currently is a chef that is very passionate about producing a top quality roast. Our Sunday Roasts last year were very successful and made up a third of our food takings, so we are very keen to be able to offer the same top quality roast dinners again.
The right candidate will be flexible, determined and experienced in leading a team within a busy kitchen. The role will begin at 14-26 hours a week, but could increase to up to 40+ hours if we found the right person and it suited both parties.
Performance and target based pay reviews will be considered and there is a potential to progress to the top of our family run business. Please reach out with details around your experience and flexibility if you are interested in the vacancy.
