? The Role
As a Robotic Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in the installation, commissioning, and technical delivery of advanced automation systems across a wide range of customer sites. You will work closely with project managers and engineering teams to implement and certify automated solutions tailored to each client's operational needs.
This is a remote-based position, but you must be prepared for extensive UK travel, with occasional assignments in Europe (up to 80% travel during peak periods).
? Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission driverless transport systems (AGVs) at customer sites
  • Configure AGV routes and parameters, and adapt code based on project documentation
  • Test and validate systems, ensuring full compliance and customer satisfaction
  • Support risk and impact assessments with Project Managers
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Coordinate with automation partners to resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Deliver customer training sessions and technical demonstrations
  • Monitor system KPIs (e.g., uptime, performance) and recommend action plans
  • Assist with pre- and post-sales technical support
  • Attend all required training and achieve necessary certifications
? Your Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
  • Programming experience in KIWI, C, C++, MATLAB or Python
  • Completed vocational training in mechatronics, electronics, or a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science
  • Basic understanding of complex industrial automation systems
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel extensively
Preferred:
  • Experience in commissioning complex plants/systems
  • Previous involvement in Industrial Robotics, Automotive or Aerospace projects
  • Interest in software development or automation programming
