Job Description

As a Robotics Engineer at Matoha, you will help us with the development of our innovative products - near-infrared spectrometers to help the world sort out the huge amount of plastic and textile waste. Each tonne of fabric or plastic waste recycled (for which using identification machines such as ours is essential) helps conserve natural resources and prevents pollution from being released - helping save the planet, one machine at a time.

As we are a startup and a small company, your work will have a real impact - on the planet and on our company. You will collaborate with our young and dynamic team - we expect you to be proactive, able to work independently and have a "get it done" spirit.

The work is hybrid remote, in our office in London SW9 6DE. We have excellent transport connections - London Underground (Oval station) is just 3 minutes walk and trains (Vauxhall station) is 15 mins.

Responsibilities



Programming a robotic arm (likely Yaskawa) Interfacing with sensors (e.g. machine vision) Design of a robotic cell Implementation of safety measures Other R&D mechanical or electrical engineering work

Must have



demonstrable experience with robots, working on industrial or complex research projects Degree in a relevant field (robotics engineering, or other engineering if sufficient experience) Demonstrable proficiency in Python Professional working English proficiency Autonomous and reliable Right to work in the UK (we are unable to sponsor visa at this stage and don't have a sponsorship license at the moment, we potentially can after you work for us for >1 year)
