Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roll Off Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, primarily roll-off lorries, to deliver and collect waste containers efficiently and safely. This role requires a professional driver with excellent communication skills and mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth operations across various sites. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting waste management services with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Operate roll-off lorries and chain lift skip trucks to deliver and collect waste containers at designated locations. Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle maintenance logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules or any operational issues. Assist with loading or unloading containers when necessary, utilising experience if applicable. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and equipment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with delivery or waste management vehicles. Valid CLASS 2 & CPC DIGI TACHO CARD driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience operating hook loader / roll on off and chain lift skips or similar vehicles is desirable. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. recycling experience is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial driving is required.
