PLEASE NOTE: This role is approximately 1 hour per week. Additional hours may not be available. This is a zero-hour contract, and tutoring takes place in the student's home unless stated otherwise.

The Role

We're currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Romanian tutor to join our supportive team. This position involves working with a 5-year-old child in the SE21 area, with the focus on developing their Romanian language skills so they can communicate more effectively with their family.

Rate:

20 per hour (self-employed)

Location:

SE21 - sessions take place in the student's home

Hours:

1 hour per week
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with young children and would like to make a meaningful impact through personalised, one-to-one language teaching.

Essential Requirements

meet the following essential criteria:

The tutor must live within

Norwood, Dulwich, Sydenham, Crystal Palace

(or surrounding areas).

The right candidate will live no more than 35-40 minutes away

from

SE21, where the student(s) reside.

(REQUIRED) MUST have some professional experience working with children/young people, e.g. teaching assistants, teachers, childcare practitioners or nannies, etc. (REQUIRED) MUST be available weekly for a 1-hour face-to-face tutoring sessions (REQUIRED) MUST be able to speak Romanian (REQUIRED) MUST be able to prove that you have the right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis (REQUIRED) MUST be able to access a printer as and when necessary- resources are provided however, tutors are expected to print from time to time (REQUIRED) A formal qualification in Romanian or a native Romanian is desirable.

Responsibilities:

Provide personalised one-to-one tutoring sessions in the student's home, adapting to meet their specific learning goals/needs. Build rapport and maintain strong relationships with students. Plan fun, engaging activities and lessons that encourage active participation. Monitor the student's progress and adapt your approach as needed to support their development. Encourage, motivate, and help students grow their confidence in their abilities.
